How to choose the correct length when buying HairExtensions

Hair Extensions come in different lengths.  Choosing your  length is very important when buying extensions.  Since we are all different heights and sizes,  the extensions will not fall the same way.  It is a good idea to have a particular look or style in mind.  If you are not sure,  ask  yourself, are you looking to add extensions for length or fullness?  Once you figure  that out, it is time to begin measuring.

Using a clothing  measuring tape (the soft one),  measure  your own hair and then decide on how much length you would like to add.  For example, if  the  length of your natural hair  is 10 inches and you would like to add 4 inches, you will need 14 inch extensions. If you want a full head of extensions with no leave out,  place the  tape on the  Crown of your head and bring it  down to your desired length.  Have a friend help you to hold the tape at the bottom while you hold the tape measure on your crown.   Then, write down the results.  If you want a partial weave  with your crown area left out, then it is best to start measuring from the top of your ear downward.  It is very important to measure properly to achieve the hairstyle you desire.

Remember when buying Curly hair or Deep Wave hair,  the hair is not stretched out straight, so it will appear shorter.   We recommend that you add 2 inches to your desired length so that you won't be disappointed the day your hair arrives.

Getting my hair done as a little girl

There is nothing like getting your hair done!  Ever since I was a little girl, I loved getting my hair done.  I could remember on Sundays my mother calling me while I was playing outside with my friends to tell me it was time to get my hair done.  Back in the day, it was an all day ordeal.  When you are young, black and without a relaxer, getting your hair done can be painful.  Nevertheless, I didn't mind.  I knew that I had to stand on a chair because I was too short to reach the sink.  Bend over, then stick my head under the running faucet.  That was my weekly ritual! Since we didn't have a blow dryer or hair dryer back in the day, my Mom would towel dry my hair, section it into 4 or 6 sections then braid it.  I was left to run free until my hair dried. Once my hair dried, here came the pressing comb and grease .  Even though I had the utmost trust in my Mother, I still squirmed and held my ears back when I felt the heat near my fac...
